CARPENTERSVILLE – It’s back! Or it will be soon.
The Carpentersville Village Board approved five measures making way for a new Village Pizza and Pub to open just north of its previous location at 117 N. Kennedy Drive at its meeting Tuesday night.
Those measures involve the village vacating a small triangular piece of land bounded by roadway at Chippewa Circle and Hopi Lane and selling some of that land to Village Pizza owner Michael Sarillo for $13,968 to use as parking for the new restaurant.
Village President Ed Ritter said the board would have approved those measures at its last meeting Nov. 3 but for one hitch.
Some of the vacated land would go to the property owners adjacent to it, extending their driveways if they accepted it, according to Ritter. And three additional property owners had not yet been offered the opportunity to accept the land.

Immigration Reform ?
Bloody day for Mexico border city
Sunday, November 15, 2009
19:01 Mecca time, 16:01 GMT
At least 90 per cent of the weapons confiscated in Mexico were bought in the US [Reuters]
At least 15 people have been killed in a single day of violence in Ciudad Juarez, a Mexican city bordering the United Sates, the Mexican authorities have said.
A child, three women and a university professor were among the dead, according to officials on Saturday.
Arturo Sandoval, the state prosecutor’s spokesman, said a seven-year-old boy was travelling with his father in a truck when armed men opened fire on Friday killing them both.
Three women were also shot dead in two other separate incidents, he said.
Elsewhere in the city, Professor Jose Alfonso Martinez, a member of the Social Sciences Institute of the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez, was shot in front of his wife in an attack by at least four men in a residential area.
His wife was unhurt.
Martinez is the third professor at the Autonomous University to be killed this year, with a fourth from the Ciudad Juarez branch of the University of Chihuahua.
Another nine men were killed in six separate incidents.
Janet Napolitano mentioned just the other Day that “benchmarks to secure southern border have been met, clearing the way for Congress to act” Napolitano is obviously Ignoring these outrageous Gun battles just south of the Border.
I’m just wondering how many of these Gun wielding Mexican Nationals are on this side of the border since they could be undocumented.Certainly We don’t know who’s here and Our current government prefers that.
An Illegal Immigrant must first commit a crime before they are illegible for deportation, but Janet’s OK with that even though the American Public doesn’t like it.The American Public doesn’t think the border is now secure enough to stop additional Illegal’s from entering the USA.
It’s time for this liberal, side stepping, loop hole loving, lying crap to Stop.
I’m not the only one who feels this way so help get the word out and stop this Government take over by special Interest Groups like La Raza who are lobbying for amnesty and Employers who fear prosecution from enforcing the laws they have been breaking for decades.
If anyone deserves Amnesty it should be the employers who have hired these people without knowing. All employers then should be required to use E-Verify when checking backgrounds on potential employees and current employees and report those to the authorities that don’t jive.
It’s that simple and has been for a long time, but Government has chosen not enforce the laws allowing this catastrophe to happen while taken all the support $$$$$ from these special interest groups while ignoring their constituents
Senator Durbin’s a perfect example of ignoring his constituents by pushing the Dream Act.
Tea party’ set vs. illegal immigration
Rally to be held at state Capitol to protest proposed U.S. reform
by Daniel González – Nov. 14, 2009 12:00 AM
The Arizona Republic
First it was bank bailouts. Then health-care reform. Now people are organizing “tea parties” to rally against illegal immigration.
A series of anti-illegal immigration tea parties will be held today in cities across the country, including one at the state Capitol in Phoenix.
The rallies are aimed at drumming up opposition to the comprehensive immigration-reform bill Democrats in Congress plan to introduce, possibly by the end of this month.

Trustee Ed Ritter to run against Sarto for Village President in 2009
January 9, 2009…1:51 am on Carpentersvilleplayhouse

It’s come down to Trustee Ed Ritter and the current Village Board President Sarto to run for the seat Of Village Board President, here In beautiful Carpentersville for the next 4 years.
It has long been speculated that Trustee Judy Sigwalt would run for the position of Village Board President, she has served on the board for a long time and has been one of the most out spoken Trustee against the current Village President and his belittling and controlling antics.
Although, many of us are disappointed in Trustee Sigwalt’s decision not to run, but we respect her choice not to.
Judy Sigwalt does however, support Trustee Ed Ritter in his upcoming Village Presidential bid along with Kay Teeter’s re-election bid for Trustee and two new comers, who are running for the open Trustee seats,
Carpentersville’s Improvement Committee Chairwomen Pat Schultz and Carpentersville resident Brad McFadden.
We don’t know if Trustee Linda Ramirez Sliwinski is going to stick to her promise of not running for Trustee again as stated when she got into some monkey business, but you’ll never know,….. she reneged on her resignation to be a delegate for Obama.
In any case this years Local election to fill the vacant Village board seats will be interesting.
Till next time,
Richard

Did the Voters Elect a corrupt Future President
December 20, 2008…7:49 am on Carpentersvilleplayhouse
It seems that President elect Barrack Obama wasn’t exactly truthful when it came to his statement about whether his staff had been in touch with Illinois Governor Rod Blogajevich concerning the vacated Obama Senate Seat.
Apparently Obama is a fast learner. 700 days in the Senate, not yet president, and he’s already screwing the US public like a seasoned professional.

Elgin’s outdoing Carpentersville when it comes to Immigration Enforcement.
December 19, 2008…9:02 am on Carpentersvilleplayhouse
Carpentersville seems to be falling behind Elgin in their efforts to enforce Immigration laws. It seems that Carpentersville’s President Bill Sarto is wrong and has been wrong all along on his approach dealing with Illegal Immigration.
Trustee Linda Ramirez Sliwinski doesn’t want any Immigration enforcement at all. She mentioned that when the Village board was talking about applying for 287(g) Immigration enforcement training. She didn’t like because it was an actual program to enforce locally Immigration laws.
That also would explain why Trustee Sliwinsky and President Sarto helped the Mexican Nationals get their ID cards renewed right here in Carpentersville at St. Stephens Lutheran Church on rt 25.
Bill Sarto says:
“The bottom line is we have done all that we legally can do in Carpentersville to enforce the present laws that are on the books in regard to illegal immigration.”
You can read the rest of his lies, excuses and Bullshit! just Click here
While in Elgin they have been doing quite well in comparison to Carpentersville, and are making improvements not as fast as some would like but they are still better then what Carpentersville is doing. It’s no surprise when you have a Village President saying we have done all we can, but we haven’t and Elgin proved it there is a lot more to do!
Richard
The Courier News was at the city Council meeting and has their report.
ELGIN — The last scheduled city council meeting of the year Wednesday night was used by officials to provide an update on city efforts to screen for illegal immigrants.

Illinois Governor Blagojevich, Arrested !
December 9, 2008…11:19 am on Carpentersvilleplayhouse

As We all new and tried to tell everyone, that Illinois politician’s are corrupt. Here our thoughts and wishes have come true, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has been arrested for trying to profit, from the appointment of Obama’s replacement as a US senator.
“Federal prosecutors say Blagojevich, Harris and others conspired to gain financial benefits in appointing President-elect Barack Obama’s Senate replacement, according to the statement.
“The breadth of corruption laid out in these charges is staggering,” U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald said in a statement. “They allege that Blagojevich put a ‘for sale’ sign on the naming of a United States Senator; involved himself personally in pay-to-play schemes with the urgency of a salesman meeting his annual sales target; and corruptly used his office in an effort to trample editorial voices of criticism.”
This does appear to be associated with the Rezko corruption case. But It will be interesting to see where this goes and who gets sucked in by this investigation.
“He has also been charged with illegally threatening to block state aid to the company that owns the Chicago Tribune.
Mr Blagojevich allegedly demanded that the company fire members of the newspaper’s editorial board in return for financial assistance in the sale of Wrigley Field, a Chicago sports stadium.”
Didn’t the Chicago Tribune just file for Bankruptcy protection?
And the actual filed Federal Complaint, USA vs’s Rod Blagojevich/ Harris

Immigration Law Enforcement
December 5, 2008…9:37 am on Carpentersvilleplayhouse
In these times of the great Immigration debate. There are those who oppose Immigration law enforcement and think that all people who want Immigration laws enforced are “Racists”. These are the same people who sit on the sidelines and tell us that it’s a “Federal Problem” and that nothing can be done locally. They also are the ones, who help provide services to those here Illegally, like helping the Mexican consulate hand out Matricula Cards that are Mexican ID cards to those Mexican Nationals that are here Illegally and those Gangs we are trying to get rid of.
If you’ve been Driving around Rt 25 on Carpentersville’s East side you’ll notice the distinct Gang signs tagged on some Buildings and fences like MS13 and SUR.
Village Trustee Ramirez Sliwinsky and Village Board President Sarto believe that doing nothing is the solution ? Not only that but they’re enticing and making it more comfortable for the Illegal immigrants and the Gangs that go with them, to stay here in Carpentersville
Well, The Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency has a different view !
ICE also want’s local authorities to help rid our country of Illegal Immigrant criminals who are taking over our local streets, as shown on Rt 25
Instead of Our Village Board President trying to speed up 287(g) training by utilizing his good friend Senator Dick Durbin to lobby ICE on Carpentersville’s behalf . He allows the Mexican consulate to register thousands of Illegal Immigrants.
